Founded in 1993, BRQ is a leading provider of IT solutions and services in
the country. The company’s offerings span across consulting, infrastructure
services, outsourcing, software factory, CRM solutions, BI, ERP and distribution
of third party software.
Growing at a rate of 30% per year, revenues reached R$ 350 million in 2011.
Currently, the company has a team of 3,000 highly qualified professionals and
offices in São Paulo, Alphaville, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Brasília
and New York.
Supported by technology partners such as IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and Adobe,
BRQ’s client portfolio includes: Bradesco, Bradesco Seguros & Previdência,
Carrefour, Claro, GM, HSBC, LG, NYSE Euronext, Pão de Açúcar, Petrobras, Rapidão
Cometa, Safra Nacional Bank, Santander, Société Générale, Sul América,
Telefônica, among others.
History
In the early 90’s, facing the opening of the Brazilian market, low inflation
and globalization, companies went through major changes to improve their
competitiveness by introducing new products and services in which the strategic
use of technology played a key role. BRQ was established in 1993 in the midst of
this revolution, in the city of São Paulo, putting together the entrepreneurial
spirit of its founder, Benjamin Quadros and a large Brazilian bank that placed a
bet on the company as one of its strategic partners to develop new systems that
would result in innovative products and services.
Since then, the partnership has only been growing and so did BRQ. The Company
expanded its services to applications outsourcing and started operating in other
clients in addition to becoming the key partner in applications of its first
client.
From 1996 to 2005, BRQ consolidated itself in São Paulo and established new
offices in Curitiba and Rio de Janeiro. The Company created solutions and
developed services to support large and midsize companies to face the challenge
of year 2000, was awarded several certifications and entered partnerships with
major global companies in the industry. Following the Internet boom, the Company
once again positioned itself as a partner of its clients to develop innovative
services that have changed the market. At that point, BRQ reached R$ 100 million
in sales.
In 2006, BRQ aimed to become a global company, leader in IT services in
Brazil and active in the largest consumer markets around the world.
Two years later, BNDES became a partner of the company, committed to its
vision and growth. BRQ established branches in Fortaleza, Salvador, Recife, New
York and made several acquisitions along the way. New executives joined the team
and in 2011 the company reached 3,000 professionals, and R$ 350 million in sales.
